Description

Ever wondered what happens when AI joins the clinical consult?

SCENARIO: Your patient arrives to your consult having already asked ChatGPT about their symptoms, uploaded their pathology and diagnosed themselves with 3 rare conditions. It can’t be the obvious because it sounds ‘too simple’ which results in a very firm treatment plan that they prepared at home. As they launch into their symptoms, they realise there’s another presence in the room. An AI scribe quietly captures the consult, summarising their symptoms, organising their story, and possibly judging their Google search history.

From patient self-diagnosis to AI scribes like Heidi, this panel hypothetical explores what happens when AI becomes part of the patient experience. Do we still need to see a health professional? What if AI gets it wrong? Who notices and who is responsible?

Expect sharp insights and plenty of laughs as we ask: is AI the future of healthcare, a helpful assistant, or just a very confident intern?

Join our panel for a lively, practical and humorous discussion about promises, pitfalls and the possibilities of AI in healthcare.
