Description
This presentation highlights the growing burden of heat-related illness, mental health challenges, and increasing demand for primary health care services during periods of extreme heat. It also examines the unique vulnerabilities faced by Aboriginal and remote communities, where limited access to healthcare and social inequities can worsen climate-related health impacts. Drawing on community engagement and research from Central Australia, we discuss opportunities for adaptation, resilience, and strengthening climate-responsive primary healthcare system.
