Our Local Network delivers an essential stewardship function for the department.
As the face of the department in the community, the Local Network enhances our capacity for place-based partnership, helping to ensure our programs and services meet the needs of older people and local communities.
Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders on the ground, key priorities of the Local Network include:
• understanding unique local and regional health and aged care environments
• identifying local challenges and service gaps, and tailoring solutions to meet the needs of each region
• supporting the development and implementation of government policies and programs
• collecting data and intel from the sector and community to support continuous system improvement
• improving care pathways at the interface of care systems.
