Description
Mala’la Health Service Aboriginal Corporation provides culturally appropriate and comprehensive healthcare services, aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of the residents of Maningrida community and surrounding homelands.
The corporation was established in September 1998 and officially transitioned to a community-controlled model, becoming an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) in February 2021.
As a community-controlled organisation, Mala’la Health Service has the flexibility to design and deliver health services that reflect the priorities and needs identified by the community and where healthcare and culture go hand in hand. In consultation with, and under the guidance of our board, we establish a shared vision and common goals to improve the health and wellbeing of our people. We take pride in our proactive and innovative approach, strong leadership, and commitment to continuous workforce development.
In addition to providing comprehensive Primary Health Care services, Mala’la Health Service also delivers Aged Care and Community Services, Family and Community Wellness programs, NDIS services, and a range of other community support services and programs.
