Louise Collins has worked in specialist perinatal mental health in Darwin for almost 15 years. She is the Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Team Manager for the Darwin-based Perinatal Mental Health Team and the NT-wide electronic Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (e-PIMHS). Louise is passionate about improving equitable access to specialist perinatal mental health care for women, infants, and families across the NT. Her clinical interests include the impact of parental mental health and early relational trauma on parenting and the caregiver–infant relationship, with a particular focus on interventions that strengthen early relationships. Most recently, Louise has played a key role in establishing the e-PIMHS, an innovative telehealth service that delivers specialist perinatal and infant mental health care, as well as education, consultation, and workforce development to clinicians across the NT.
