Shell Piercy, MNurs, BNurs, BSc (Paramedicine), FAEEM is the Chief Paramedic Officer for NT Health and an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at Charles Darwin University. A dual-qualified paramedic and registered nurse, Shell brings extensive clinical, executive leadership, and health system reform experience across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. Her career spans emergency nursing, critical care and extended care paramedicine, rural and remote health, Indigenous health, workforce development, and healthcare leadership.

Shell is widely recognised for her work developing innovative models of care that improve access to healthcare for rural, remote, and vulnerable populations. She has led ambulance, emergency, primary healthcare, and humanitarian services, including serving as CEO of the Vanuatu Emergency Services Association, where she guided the organisation through major natural disasters and significant national emergencies.

Passionate about culturally safe, patient-centred care, Shell is a strong advocate for advancing the roles of nurses and paramedics within integrated health systems. Her work focuses on workforce innovation, quality improvement, Indigenous health equity, and building sustainable healthcare services that meet the needs of diverse communities across Australasia.
