Jackie Liddle is a local Arrernte woman from Mparntwe (Alice Springs) with a family connection to the 73-year history of Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, where her grandmother was one of the founding members. Jackie has worked at Congress for more than 16 years, including 14 at Alukura, the organisation’s women’s health service. Earlier this year, she joined the Medicare Mental Health Kids Hub’s Kids Strong Minds program as an Aboriginal Family Support Worker. Through this work, she has seen that early intervention matters, representation matters and connection and advocacy matters. She finds working alongside children and their families deeply fulfilling and values the opportunity to use her outgoing personality to build relationships and make a positive difference in their lives, now and into the future.
