Speaker Bio
Hi, I’m Ashley Brooking, I am a Karrajarri and Bunuba man from Western Australia’s North West Kimberlies, I am a proud Dad and have lived in Alice Springs Mparntwe for over 10 years and absolutely enjoyed every moment of it.
My passion is working with youth as I myself was a cheeky, young man growing up in the Northern Territory and as the Aboriginal Family Support worker. We provide a liaison and support service to children and their families engaging with our program for mental health and behavioural needs. Our responsibilities include cultural brokerage, networking, advocacy, practical support for clients, ensuring responsible coordination and facilitation of client’s appointments and follow-up.
I pride myself in being a great role for our youth, lead with action and staying consistent with the work our program provides.
