Dr Simon Quilty is a physician and researcher who has spent the past 20 years working in the NT. He is Chief Operating Officer of Wilya Janta, an Aboriginal-led housing innovation organisation in Tennant Creek, where he works alongside Warumungu leaders to ask why houses keep making people sick, and what better ones might look like. His work connects rheumatic heart disease (RHD), climate, heat, energy poverty and housing, with a strong belief that good medicine sometimes starts with a veranda, a breeze and listening properly to Aboriginal people.
