Renee is a young Gurindji woman living in Katherine. Her family are from Kalkaringi (mother's side) and Nitjpurru (father's side). Renee's lived experience with diabetes led to training as a Peer Facilitator and she now supports other young people with diabetes in the Big Rivers Region. Renee loves working with others to improve awareness of diabetes, especially in remote communities where access to hospital and medicines is more limited.
