Deb Russell is a fellowed GP, epidemiologist and remote health systems researcher. She is a Principal Research Fellow at Menzies School of Health Research, Charles Darwin University, where she co-leads the Remote Health Systems and Climate Change Centre in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). She is also Research Manager for the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Centre for Research Excellence for Strengthening Health Systems in Remote Australia (CRESTRA). Through this role, she supports research to improve remote workforce retention, address funding inequities, strengthen health service integration and coordination, and build research capacity in remote health services.
