This year, there has been a resurgence of diphtheria in the NT. Since January 1, 2025 there have been 291 cases notified in the NT (as at 31/7/26), including one probable death. This presentation will unpack the origins of this outbreak, the public health response to date, including how this response has been closely aligned with the four Closing the Gap Priorities
